PCI-Compliant Credit Card Vaulting

One of the most frequent questions we have received over the years is “how do I transfer credit card information between Click to Buy and my backoffice system?” This has historically been tough to answer and solve because each back office tool typically has its own payment processor and transferring credit card information between systems was troublesome due to PCI-compliance constraints.

When Click to Buy launched, customers were required to use their own Stripe account, collect the first credit card payment online, and the call the customer back to recapture the credit card information for future recurring service payments.

As part of this release, we are so excited to announce our new PCI-Compliant Credit Card Vaulting feature a true game-changer in the industry. With the Credit Card Vaulting, Click to Buy can now securely collect a customer’s credit card during checkout without charging it. The credit card can then be securely retrieved from our PCI-compliant vault and allow businesses to copy/paste it into any back office system for processing.

This innovative feature allows all charges to go through your payment process or choice and effectively makes the Click to Buy payment processor agnostic. Using Strip as a payment processor is also still an option, so with the new vaulting feature, we’ve doubled Click to Buy’s payment feature options.

Upgrades at-a-glance:

  1. New PCI-Compliant Credit Card Vaulting
  2. Payment Processor Toggling (for Stripe Users)
  3. Backend upgrades to limit the times a credit card can be viewed
  4. Full audit trails of who views/transfers the credit card information

Downloadable Service Agreements

One of Click to Buy’s optional power-ups is the ability to have customers sign Service Agreements during checkout. Historically the agreements were included with the email body. With this latest upgrade, services agreements are no downloadble & printable PDFs that are included in both email receipts and CtB Admin Order views.

Each downloadable Service Agreement also includes customer branding, name of the customers, time stamps, and agreement of terms.

Discounted Add-On Service Functionality

The ability to cross-sell services is one of Click to Buy’s superpowers. Traditionally, add-ons had to be the same options as the primary service offering. With the latest upgrade, add-ons can now be hidden as a primary service option and only shown as add-ons on other services. This allows your team to sell discounted add-on services when purchased in line with other services.

Three new states for pricing options exist now:

Add-On Service Icons

Similar to how the Pricing Option Header Image upgrade in Q3 added a placce for new visuals & branding throughout the experience, Add-On services now carry forward their icon. Automatically including Add-On Service icons adds greater visuals to the site and helps attract prospect’s attenion which in turn helps to increase overall services sold.
